‘Israel to Give Obama 12 Hours Notice on Attacking Iran’

Israel told visiting US Gen. Dempsey that Obama would get no more than 12 hours notice before an attack on Iran, the London Times reports.

The London Times said its sources explained that that Israel fears that President Obama would try to torpedo an Israel attack if more notice were given because he is concerned that Iran will respond by blocking the Strait of Hormuz, sparking a rise in the price of oil that could cripple Western economies. If the attack were to occur in the next 10 months, it would put President Obama in a tight spot on the eve of his bid for re-election.

Personally, I wouldn’t give Obama squat if I were Israel. If I were Israel, I might tell him after the planes had taken off for their mission. This is because of the following reasons:

1. Israel is a sovereign nation and has a right to defend itself anytime it needs to.

2. Iran is an existential threat to Israel. Anyone who does not believe or understand this has no conception of the Iranian ideology and mindset.

3. Iran and other extremist countries have repeatedly threatened to annihilate Israel. It is even taught in the Koran. Those who think otherwise are either ignorant, in denial, or liars.

4. Obama has repeatedly kowtowed to the Muslim nations in detrimental ways to Israel. Just review his actions since he has been in office.

5. Most of Israel admittedly does not trust our President to do the right thing for Israel- just view the latest Israeli polls.

Will the United States stand behind Israel if Israel does attack? I certainly hope so. A war will ignite the Middle East and send oil prices through the roof, but the alternate is even worse in my opinion. A nuclear armed Iran will certainly use that power in the near future. The Islamic theology believes that an apocalyptic war will bring in their Madhi (Messiah). Ahmadinejad has already stated several times he believes he is the one to initiate the situation which will bring about the appearance of this final Imam.

Mexican Trucks Are on Our Roads

After years of negative votes in Congress and the opposition of the American people, on Oct. 21 Barack Obama allowed the first Mexican truck to cross the border at Laredo, Texas, and head north to deliver door-to-door service of its industrial equipment. This was implemented by an agreement quietly signed by Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood in Mexico City on July 6 with Mexico’s secretary of Communications and Transportation.

Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., calls this deal a major anti-jobs program saying, “We’re literally taking good jobs here in America and passing them over the line to Mexico.” Todd Spencer, executive vice president of the Independent Drivers Association, a non-union trade association, said 100,000 trucking jobs will be lost.

Time to Dump the U.N.

By Henry Lamb

Even the most enthusiastic progressives have to be thoroughly disgusted with the U.N. officials who, like Navi Pillay, the United Nations high commissioner for human rights, demand a full report from the U.S. about the bin Laden operation. Other U.N. advocates are convinced that the United States has violated some international law.

Osama bin Laden did not attack the United Nations; he attacked the United States. What the U.S. did to bring bin Laden to justice is none of the U.N.’s business. This jaw-jacking from the U.N. crowd is just more of the same useless noise that has been flowing from the obsolete institution for several years.

The United Nations is useless in the face of conflict. Rwanda and Darfur are great examples of U.N. incompetence. The U.N. shuffled papers and made speeches while hundreds of thousands of people died. The recent uprising in the Middle East has left the U.N. talking to itself, utterly helpless to do anything about the slaughter taking place there.

Obama’s Newest Ambush

By Caroline Glick

It is hard to believe, but it appears that in the wake of the Palestinian unity deal that brings Hamas, the genocidal, al-Qaida-aligned, local franchise of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, into a partnership with Fatah, US President Barack Obama has decided to open a new round of pressure on Israel to give away its land and national rights to the Palestinians. It is hard to believe that this is the case. But apparently it is.

On Wednesday, The Wall Street Journal reported that while Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is in Washington next week, and before the premier has a chance to give his scheduled address to a joint session of Congress, Obama will give a new speech to the Arab world. In that speech, Obama will praise the populist movements that have risen up against Arab tyrannies and embrace them as the model for the future. As for Israel, the report claimed that the Obama administration is still trying to decide whether the time is right to put the screws on Israel once more.

Mideast Conflict in a Nutshell

Danger: Automatic Tax Trigger Ahead

By Dick Morris And Eileen McGann

A diabolical plot is being hatched between Senate Democrats, the White House and three Republican accomplices — Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, Mike Crapo of Idaho, and Saxby Chambliss of Georgia. The concept is to enact an amendment to the debt limit extension specifying certain targets for deficit reduction and then mandating automatic spending cuts AND tax increases to take effect if the goals are not met.

This formula permits backdoor tax increases on which nobody votes and no fingerprints appear. The taxes just happen automatically. The immaculate conception tax increase.

Osama Bin Laden Is Dead, Sources Confirm

Usama bin Laden is dead, putting an end to the worldwide manhunt that began nearly a decade ago on Sept. 11, 2001. The architect of the deadliest terror attack on U.S. soil was killed a week ago inside Pakistan by a U.S. bomb.

President Obama announced the stunning development during an address to the nation late Sunday night from the White House.

“Tonight, I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Usama bin Laden, the leader of Al Qaeda.”

The U.S. had been waiting for the results of a DNA test to confirm his identity before going public. Sources said the vice president informed congressional leaders late Sunday night that the world’s most wanted man had indeed been killed.

Michigan: Police Search Cell Phones During Traffic Stops

ACLU seeks information on Michigan program that allows cops to download information from smart phones belonging to stopped motorists.

CelleBriteThe Michigan State Police have a high-tech mobile forensics device that can be used to extract information from cell phones belonging to motorists stopped for minor traffic violations. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Michigan last Wednesday demanded that state officials stop stonewalling freedom of information requests for information on the program.

ACLU learned that the police had acquired the cell phone scanning devices and in August 2008 filed an official request for records on the program, including logs of how the devices were used. The state police responded by saying they would provide the information only in return for a payment of $544,680. The ACLU found the charge outrageous.

71 Percent Of Illegal Immigrants Receiving Welfare

The Center for Immigration Studies has released an in-depth report on the use of welfare programs provided by the U.S. to immigrants living in the country.

Bypassing the number of immigrants living in the United States legally, although those numbers are far higher than native born Americans, I searched the report directly for the welfare use by those in the country illegally and the report indicates that 71 percent of illegal immigrants are receiving welfare benefits.

Pastor Terry Jones and the Quran Burning

US legislators and others are condemning the burning of a Quran by a American pastor, Terry Jones. Back in September, Jones did not follow through on his threats to burn a number of Qurans, but now he has done so with one Quran. As a result, there have been killings and protests in Afghanistan and other places in the Middle East. There has also been a lot of discussion about free speech and the responsibility it entails.

The Apostle Paul stated that “all things are lawful, but not all things are expedient.” Is Pastor Jones responsible, at least in part, for the deaths of the UN workers who were killed because of the protests? Only God can say with certainty. I do know one thing for sure. God did not call upon us to burn Qurans, but to preach the Gospel. I think Pastor Jones would have a lot more positive, biblically based results if he stuck to his commission as a pastor to preach the Gospel as scripture teaches we are to do. Exposing the deeds of darkness is also a biblically based directive.  Burning Qurans is neither.

I wonder…would Jones have burned the Quran if he were living in a Muslim country?

Government’s Stealth Takeover of Food

Been to the grocery store lately?  Prices are up and food packages are shrinking.  Call it stealth inflation.

There’s no hiding the skyrocketing price of gas that hits you in the face every time you fill up the tank.  But food?  Last year’s steep rise in the price of wheat, corn, coffee, and chocolate is now rippling through the food chain, but the food industry is working overtime to mask food price inflation.

Last October, Obama’s Agriculture Department predicted food price inflation, indicating in a report that food prices would “accelerate” in the final months of 2010 and through 2011.  The acceleration is here and has taken many forms.

Food packages, cans, and bottles have been downsized.

The “new” jar of peanut butter is still the same size (and price) as the old 9-ounce jar, but a new concave bottom means the jar only holds 7 ounces.  A tortilla package that reads “Now New With 10 in a Package!” is the same price as the old 12-pack.

Sucker-Two Punch: What Next?

Excerpt:

Looking ahead, what is wrong with this picture? Would you need to be a highly-paid economist working on Wall Street to draw a correct conclusion?

* Food stamp usage in America continues to climb (with almost 50% more people qualifying for their use since the Fall of 2008).
* Long-term unemployment is at a record high.
* Sales in low-price stores such as Wal-mart are lagging … even declining on a same-store basis in some months. However, the sales of high-end retailers such as Saks and Macy’s are growing strongly.
* The U.S. labor market participation rate has declined sharply (by 2 percentage points). Does this normally occur in a recovery period?
* The sales of luxury goods manufacturers such Louis Vuitton, Burberry … etc. are strong and the auction prices of rare art never really having suffered a downturn.
* As mentioned, real income growth for the average U.S. household has turned negative in the past few months. The same is now true in the UK.
* Corporate profits are now higher (as a share of national income and partially at the expense of household incomes) than before the GFC began.
* The U.S. banking sector is now more concentrated than before (this being a major complication should bail-outs ever be required again).
* The FAO (Food and Agricultural Organization, a division of the United Nations) reports that food costs around the world have soared to all-time highs.
* Profits for the entire financial sector have returned to prior highs, and multi-billion dollar bonus payouts are at new highs.
* Many countries, including the U.S, are heading towards plutocracy (that meaning to be ruled and controlled by the rich). The top 1% of households now control over 44% of income … the highest since prior to the last Great Depression.

STALL, BABY, STALL

It’s unbelievable (literally) the rhetoric on “America’s Energy Security” coming from President Obama this week. This is coming from he who is manipulating the U.S. energy supply.

President Obama is once again giving lip service to a “new energy proposal”; but let’s remember the last time he trotted out a “new energy proposal” – nearly a year ago to the day. The main difference is today we have $4 a gallon gas in some places in the country. This is no accident.

This administration is not a passive observer to the trends that have inflated oil prices to dangerous levels. His war on domestic oil and gas exploration and production has caused us pain at the pump, endangered our already sluggish economic recovery, and threatened our national security.

Through a process of what candidate Obama once called “gradual adjustment,” American consumers have seen prices at the pump rise 67 percent since he took office. Meanwhile, the vast undeveloped reserves that could help to keep prices at the pump affordable remain locked up because of President Obama’s deliberate unwillingness to drill here and drill now.

We’re subsidizing offshore drilling in Brazil and purchasing energy from them, instead of drilling ourselves and keeping those dollars circulating in our own economy to generate jobs here.

The President said Wednesday (3/30), “There are no quick fixes.” He’s been in office for nearly three years now, and he’s about to launch his $1 billion re-election campaign. When can we expect any “fixes” from him? How high does the price of energy have to go?

So, here’s a little flashback to what I wrote one year ago on March 31, 2010:

Opec set for $1 Trillion in export revenues

According to the International Energy Agency, Opec, the oil producers’ cartel, will reap $1 trillion  in export revenues this year for the first time if crude prices remain above $100 a barrel.

Civil uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa have caused prices and OPEC revenues to soar.
